Multi-cultural Re-entry

Kinetic Collective is funded as part of We All Rise's Multi-Cultural Re-entry program. We are fundraising to continue this work on Alberta, Hawthorne, and other districts that have witnessed displacement and economic disenfranchisement. We are planning a Pop-Up Business District and will continue to engage the public to identify other community projects.

OMSI Youth Board

We All Rise is fundraising to recruit, train, and compensate diverse individuals such that they may participate in planning sessions for the sustainable redevelopment of OMSI and contribute to a final report for the urban planning community, the City of Portland, and the Technology Association of Oregon. Their participation will be sustained as long as funds are available.

Youth Sustainability Advisory Committee

We All Rise is fundraising to:

  • Assess barriers to entry for disadvantaged community members

  • Launch a research project assessing these Portlanders’ perspectives on sustainability goals tied to the potential of circular economies and smart city design

  • Develop a series of workshops and focus groups for young Portlanders exploring the history of urban inequities, climate in/justice, and how to participate, network, and become leaders in the urban planning space

  • Compensate women, people of color, low-income individuals, and chronically underemployed youth who contribute to our work

We All Rise is fundraising for our community work throughout the Portland area. The COVID pandemic, coupled with over a century of oppressive city policy including redlining, disinvestment, and inequitable development resulting in gentrification, have disproportionately impacted BIPOC. Young Portlanders have also suffered from an unequal economic recovery since peak unemployment early in the pandemic.

As Portland recovers from the pandemic, it is essential to center and uplift those voices that have historically been ignored and devalued. Given limited institutional support for the work we are doing, We All Rise is currently fundraising for the following projects. Proceeds from this GoFundMe will be distributed as needed to fund this important work. Any leftover funds will be distributed to the following organizations:

Black Resilience Fund

Black Parent Initiative

Portland Homeless Family Solutions

Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization

Old Growth Blockade PNW

Bark (protecting the Mt. Hood National Forest)

350PDX (building a diverse grassroots movement to address the causes of climate disruption in Portland and beyond)
